Ahhh, the System.

... and our everlasting romance.

Today my landlord called me to ask why I haven’t paid her since March 1st. I checked my account and the wire transfer I do every month didn’t work that day so I called the bank (HSBC) and they told me the recipient’s account info had changed.

I went to the other bank (Banco de Costa Rica) to confirm this and they told me the info hasn’t changed and the wire transfer should’ve worked with the data I put in.

After the struggle I decided to try the wire transfer with my other bank (Banco Nacional) only to find out I can’t create new recipients because I have no Security Token. So I decided to take some more time and head over to the bank to get the Token once and for all. After about 20 minutes of waiting, I got told I can’t get no Security Token because my ID is expired. Driver’s License won’t do either.

I finally headed to the nearest ATM to get the money out and do a normal deposit, and the machine gave me a huge ROLL of low-denomination bills.

Fuck my life.
