Ever since I can remember I’ve been polishing my iTunes music library; however, I don’t quite recall the point where it stopped being a time-killer and became a sistematic process that can’t be skipped in my daily tasks.

Besides tagging, rating, replacing or deleting mp3s everyday, I download 2 or 3 torrents with new material every month: modern rock, mainstream radio, and a big one: indie rock. I also visit an interesting set of music blogs where I get the unusual stuff like b-sides or covers, or exclusive versions.

The new music undergoes a normalization process before getting added to the library, where it also gets market as gapless and properly tagged. My Smart Playlists make sure I always listen to stuff I’ve heard seldomly, and now thanks to Last.FM, I can improve and extend my knowledge.
